Terms & Conditions

All orders and contracts between the customer and B.C. Blinds will be in writing or any other methods B.C. Blinds will have to review and accept. B.C. Blinds is not willing to contract otherwise than on these Conditions of Sale. Alterations to contracts and orders will not be effective unless it is signed by an authorised signatory of B.C. Blinds. Any quotation shall be regarded as an invitation to treat. Each order or acceptance of a quotation for Goods by the Customer from B.C. Blinds shall be deemed to be an offer by the Customer to buy Goods subject to these Conditions of Sale. Any advice or recommendation given by B.C. Blinds or its employees or agents to the customer or its employees or agents as to the storage or application or use of the Goods which is not confirmed in writing by B.C. Blinds is followed or acted upon entirely at the customer’s own risk.

Upon placing your Order, you confirm that you have been provided with advice in regards to Child Safety. You confirm that you understand the child safety options for the various blind types available and that you have chosen one which is appropriate for the window you intend to cover. The guidance is clear that certain blind types require a minimum fitting height and if you order such a blind you confirm that your window conforms to these requirements.

If you are providing measurements to be manufactured it is very important that your measurements are correct. We cannot accept the return of the Goods by reason of the measurements provided being incorrect. You are advised to call our enquiry line on 0121 679 8514 or contact us by email on info@bcblinds.co.uk if you would like guidance on how to take the required measurements accurately, or if you would like a member of the sales team to come out and measure for you.

The prices of the products vary depending on the sizes of the windows and the materials chosen, which will be calculated and stated within the quotation. B.C. Blinds will not form any contract or process any orders unless a 30% deposit of the total order is received up front. We shall then be responsible to manufacture the product, deliver and install unless otherwise stated by the customer.

All goods supplied by B.C. Blinds remain our property until the full balance on your order has been paid in full. The remaining payment via cheques, cash or BAC’s is required in full upon completion of installation. This activates the warranty on your products. B.C. Blinds reserves the right to use debt collecting agencies to collect any outstanding payments, which may incur further charges to the customer.

Once we have completed your quotation, we will provide you with an approximate delivery date. A confirmed installation date will be given as soon as the company has completed the manufacturing of the product.

Vertical Blinds – Please allow a minimum of 5 days from the time of order to fitting.
Roller Blinds – Please allow a minimum of 5 days from the time of order to fitting.
Venetian Blinds – Please allow a minimum of 14 days from the time of order to fitting.
Skylight Blinds – Please allow a minimum of 7 days from the time of order to fitting.
Perfect Fit Blinds – Please allow a minimum of 14 days from the time of order to fitting.
Roman Blinds – Please allow a minimum of 14 days from the time of order to fitting.

Our products are bespoke and made to the requirements of our customers. On occasions there may be unforeseen delays to the timescales outlined in this section. If any delays do occur the customer will be notified immediately and updated with a new date of installation.

Please note our fitters require unrestricted access to all windows. Please arrange furniture and other items to be moved prior to our visit. B.C. Blinds is not liable for damages of items left in close proximity of your windows.

If the unlikely event the goods are damaged upon delivery and installation or materials contain manufacturing errors, we will be responsible for replacing these as soon as possible at no extra cost to the customer. (See warranty section below for more details)

All our products are custom made to the specifications agreed with you at the time you accept the quotation. They are not suitable for resale or reuse. It is therefore very important that you are sure of your purchase choices before placing your order. Cancellations and changes can only be made for a period of 24 hours after you have placed your order therein manufacturing will begin. All cancellations and changes made during this period will be subject to an administration charge of 5% of the total value of your order. We will deduct this administration fee from your deposit and refund the balance to you. B.C. Blinds will not issue refunds or credits for cancellations or changes outside of the first 24 hours. Therefore, the full 30% deposit collected at the time of your order will be forfeit.

On very rare occasions, there may be delays caused by factors beyond our control. These include, but are not limited to, third-party manufacturing issues (e.g. out-of-stock materials, factory delays), shipping delays or weather conditions. In the event of a known delay, you will be contacted and informed immediately. B.C. Blinds does not take responsibility for such delays. We are unable to offer partial/full refunds in the event of such manufacturing issues or delays. This does not affect your statutory rights.

We warrant all our products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years from delivery of the Goods to You. The warranty on our products begins when the full balance for your order is paid. For the avoidance of doubt, the warranty is not valid on products that have not been paid in full. It is important that you keep your receipt given to you on the day of quotation as this will have your date of warranty displayed on there and will confirm you are still within the 2 year warranty period.

Manufacturer’s warranty covers failure of the components solely in the course of normal usage. Should any defect in material or workmanship occur within the warranty period, we will arrange with you to examine the Goods and, if the Goods are defective, we shall either repair or replace the defective Goods free of any charge for labour or materials. The warranty does not cover manual damage due to force or irresponsible fire damages. The warranty does not cover replacement of material slats damaged manually or stained from spillages.
